PlayDates started with a simple question: why is it so hard to find other families nearby? One seesaw ride with my son later, I decided to build the answer.
My wife and I love meeting other parents and bringing the kids together for playdates. There's something special about watching children play freely while the grown-ups actually get to have real conversations with people who get it — the chaos, the joy, all of it.
But I was genuinely surprised that there was no simple, safe way to find and connect with local families. Social media is noisy. Neighborhood apps aren't built for this. You basically had to stumble into friendships at the park and hope for the best.
That gap is what inspired me to build PlayDates. A dedicated place for parents to discover nearby families, see who shares your kids' ages and interests, and connect safely — no noise, no algorithm, just real neighbors looking for the same thing you are.
Your phone and address are never shown publicly. Kids' details are only visible to families you've matched with.
Every parent verifies their phone number to join. Addresses are manually reviewed for the Verified badge.
