1. About PlayDates

PlayDates (playdates.club) is a neighborhood family networking service that helps parents find and connect with nearby families for playdates. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You must be a parent or legal guardian of the children listed on your profile.
• You must provide accurate information at signup, including your real name and address.
• One account per household. Duplicate or fraudulent accounts will be removed.

3. Your account

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Your phone number serves as your identity — keep it accurate. You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard, which permanently removes all your data.

4. Acceptable use

PlayDates is for parents looking to arrange playdates. You agree not to:

• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Use the platform for any commercial purpose, solicitation, or advertising
• Share another user's personal information outside of PlayDates
• Harass, threaten, or send unsolicited messages to other families
• Post or share inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Attempt to circumvent matching — messaging only unlocks after mutual acceptance
• Use automated tools, scrapers, or bots to access the platform

5. Children's safety

The safety of children is our top priority. You agree to:

• Arrange initial playdates in public, well-lit locations
• Never share photos of children through the platform
• Report any concerning behavior to us immediately at hello@playdates.club
• Use your best judgment — you know your family best

6. Verified badge

The "Verified" badge indicates that our team has manually reviewed the address associated with the account. It is a trust signal, not a background check or guarantee of any kind. PlayDates does not perform criminal background checks.

7. Content you post

You retain ownership of content you post (bio, photos, messages). By posting, you grant PlayDates a limited license to display that content to other users as part of the service. We do not use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties.

8. No warranties

PlayDates is provided "as is." We make no guarantees about uptime, availability, or the behavior of other users. We are a small, founder-operated platform doing our best to keep the community safe.

9. Limitation of liability

PlayDates is not liable for any interactions that occur between families outside of the platform. Meetups, playdates, and in-person contact are entirely the responsibility of the participating families. Use good judgment and refer to our Safety Guidelines.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or remove any account that violates these terms or poses a safety risk to the community. If your account is removed for policy violations, you may not create a new account.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. We will notify active users of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
